Not one day pass by without someone threatening to inform my boss about the bad customer service that this company has. It's something I just have to listen and to be honest I forget about them immediately after the phone call. First I thought that there was something wrong with me, but since then I've realised that people just need someone to blame when the world doesn't go as they wish... I must say that it probably is a problem that resides only in the western, developed countries. We need to blame someone so we wouldn't be the one responsible for the bad luck we've had, thank god it's not as insane as in America, I think I would be sitting in court already. My opinion of the whole thing is that it's stupid and people should lighten up a bit. We don't complain when we win a new car from the lottery or find a 100 € note from the street, but we complain when we have a computer that just simply breaks down right after the warranty has ran out or we lose lots of money on a bet whch was supposed to be certain.. ok ok, I understand that it is a very bad example, but my point is that it's just up to luck, after all someone lost that 100€ note which you found...
Did you know that the betting firms (at least here in UK) are responsible to certain extense if one of their customers lose all their belongings because they have a betting problem. And restaurants are responsible of a person who drinks too much and e.g. falls over in the stairs so bad that he gets serious injury.... I have to say that I can fall over when I've drank 2 ciders, but just like anyone else, I would probably be taking things to court if it meant that I can get some money out of it.... It's a sick sick world we live in.
Or maybe I'm just getting bitter here, I'm finding out sides of people that I wish I'd never have seen. All these complainers are probably nice people who just happen to be extremely pissed off about the bad luck they've had... well except that guy who needed a store closer to him, he just plainly was stupid. I guess it's normal to not think very clearly when you've just found out that you've lost a big amount of money... well, in most of the cases at least. Then we have these complainers that complain just for the sake of complaining... Those people I would literally like to send to one of the 3rd world countries to live for few months and see how much they complain there about the toaster that doesn't make the bread crisp enough or a washing liquid that doesn't quite smell like roses. Oh well... at least one good thing has come from this job, I will probably never complain without a reason about anything and I'm going to be a very nice customer everywhere from now on.... Amen.
